How is everyone enjoying the FIDE Women's World Chess Championship being played in Tehran at the moment? Great, isn't it? With the huge popularity of their new fancy dress chess initiative, our beloved World Chess Federation is understandably keen for us to see the official costumes that they are planning for the women's world chess championships in 2018 and 2019. You're seeing them here first, folks.In 2018 FIDE is planning to hold the women's championship in Khanty-Mansiysk - a place in Siberia which is familiar to chess fans but pretty much no-one else on Planet Earth (barring its own inhabitants). Quite a stylish look, isn't it? As for 2019... well, they haven't announced the venue yet but it looks to me like they are planning to hold it somewhere a bit warmer. My guess is Rio de Janeiro. What do you think?
